INNOVATE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

DON'T GET STALE
INNOVATE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

 posted by Team Tony
Did you know that 96% of all companies fail over a ten-year period? And that 40-50% of all first marriages in the United States end in divorce? Why? The reason is the same for both –– they stop marketing and innovating.
Consider this. In business, companies use marketing in order to get potential clients to want to do business with them. Likewise, they use innovation to find a way to meet the needs of the customer better than anyone else. In relationships, it's the same.
You must continuously market and innovate with your partner.
You marketed yourself in the beginning of the relationship, putting your best face forward in order to capture the attention of the potential 'customer.' You also innovated by spending time thinking about what that person would like and how to make them happier than they've ever been.
If you want your relationship to be extraordinary then your job is to unleash every resource you have to light this human being up and make them your raving fan. Get addicted to lighting them up. Get addicted to giving them pleasure!
Think about what you did in the beginning of your relationship in order to meet the needs of your lover and get them to want to be with you. Are you still doing those things?
If you do what you did in the beginning of the relationship there won't be an end.
Extraordinary, loving, intimate relationships don't die for lack of love; they die from lack of intimacy. If you continue to market yourself and to innovate to meet your partner's needs, you'll avoid losing that precious connection that you fought so hard to obtain.

Your Six Core Needs - Certainty, part 2 of 7

Every living creature looks first and foremost for certainty, as a way of survival. We need stable conditions in which to recharge, a secure environment that gives us shelter, nurtures us. And then helps us grow.

Intimate relationships reflect that basic need to the full extend. What the woman is looking for, is security. She needs a guy who can protect her. Whether he would fight for her against the sabertooth outside the cave, in ancient times, would bring the meat home (then or in modern times) or would offer her a hand when she needs his help (literally or metaphorically). She wants her man to listen to her and support her. The woman needs her hero to protect her and provide her comfort.

The guy, on the other hand, needs her support. He needs to know and feel that his queen supports his quest, and is loyal to him and his mission. What draws him home after the long hunt – providing for his partner all day, is the certainty that she will keep the cave warm, and will provide the conditions for him to replenish his energy. She is, equally, there for him.

This literal meaning also applies to the level of feelings – we feel secure when we know how our partner feels about us, how they will react, how they will embrace our ideas. It is not about mere predictability. It’s about going back to skills, feelings you know, and you feel comfortable with. To a state in which you can relax, knowing there are no dangers lurking.

It is not a coincidence that we look for a “stable” relationship. Because this is the foundation – if you don’t have a strong, secure base, how can you possibly build up, grow, expand?
It all starts with being able to find comfort and security in the place you go back to, in the place you recharge. Ultimately, in the place you want to call home.

What Helps the Man be Consistently Attractive to His Lady

What makes men attractive to women on an ongoing basis? One key ingredient: PRESENCE.

And it's something they need to practise, because the ladies have "difused awareness"... And, no, it's not multitasking.

You might be able to relate to that!

Wheel of Life

“Why live an ordinary life, when you can live an extraordinary one?”
Tony Robbins

So many people give the best they can – at work, at home, and yet, when they look at their life, something is missing. Can you pause and have a look at where you are at, and identify the gaps? It might turn to be a useful 15-20 minute exercise.
In order for you to feel satisfied and fulfilled with your life, you need to have a balance in your “achievements” in all areas of your life – family, relationships, finances, health etc. Even if one of them is lagging behind, the energy flow gets interrupted and the light that comes to your life and shines through everything you do gets dimmed.

So take time out and do some self-evaluation. First, decide what is important in your life – health, family, business… For the sake of completeness, you can use the list that is most often referred to when “auditing” the areas of your life:
-          - Family                                    - Health
-         - Personal Growth                     - Finance
-          - Career                                    - Attitude
-          - Social Life                              - Relationships

You can choose to break down relationships into Business, Personal or Intimate. Or change Personal Growth with Spiritual Development. Or you can put aside Attitude, and work with the other 7. But it’s important to encompass ever area of your life, analyse it and mark on the graph: How satisfied are you with each and every of these areas, out of 10?

Reflect and mark how successful you think you are in each, at this stage of your life. If you have a successful and fulfilling career, give yourself a 9 or a 10. Shade the area on the graph. If you are struggling with your finances, give yourself a 2, or a 0. If you are in an un-resourceful relationship, mark yourself with 1, and make a change straight away!

Now, look at the shaded areas of your life, and make a call – are you equally successful, and satisfied, with all areas of your life? Or are there one or two that clearly are calling for an intervention? Analyse and make a list of the areas you need, and want, to pick up your game at.

If you want to achieve harmony and fulfillment, raise the bar, and start taking action!
